Jump to Report & Multi Value vs. Single Value

I have a parameterized main report that contains a link to a sub report with parameters. Then from the sub report I have a link that takes you back to main report. If I use multi value parameters or single value parameters the links going back and forth between the two reports works just dandy, when I run it on my PC. However when I deploy the reports to the Web Server, the link going from the sub report back to the main report only works if the parameters are single select. Going from the Main to the Sub it doesn’t matter.

This is the error I get using multi select parameters going from the sub report back to the main.

The path of the item "(null)" is not valid. The path must be less than 260 characters long and must start with slash. Other restrictions apply. (rsInvalidItemPath)

Any suggestions?

By any chance, are the drillthrough links located in the page header or page footer?

jump back from drill through generates blank page

Hello,
I have a main report that calls a subreport. In report manager, when I
drill from the main report to the subreport, everything is fine. However,
when I hit the IE back button I get a blank page. If I hit back again the
main report displays. This problem just started happening within the last
2 weeks. In the past I only had to hit back once. This problem occurs in
every report.

I have discovered that security patch KB916281
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916281) has caused this problem. It was
originally installed on June 19th. After I removed this hot fix, the back
button functioned as desired. Uninstalling this patch is not a feasable
solution. Does anyone know of a solution? Microsoft?

FYI: Report Server is on windows server 2003 with SQL SERVER/RS 2000 with latest service packs. I access the reports from IE on a MS 2000 professional OS.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi All,

I am also having the same problem. Somebody pls reply with a solution to it. This is an urgent issue.

Julian to Gregorian and Gregorian to Julian

Are there SQL functions to convert back and forth between these two?
TIA for the help.

Not in SQL Server. This is a hard problem because no single,
universally valid conversion between Julian and Gregorian is possible.
The answer depends on what time, place and proleptic calendar you take
as your reference point. I suggest you create your own Calendar table
to do the conversion.
The last word on all the messy details can be found here:

Clarification: What I mean is that any conversion you choose to apply
may or may not be factually, historically or legally accurate dependent
on geography and the date in question. You can of course choose to use
a single conversion but its validity may be only theoretical.

Joining tables

I have two tables one table T1 only have one result per date table 2 T2 can
range from 0 to 8 results per date,
I want to pull back all of the results in T2 and sum the totals, in my
example it will be summing "Stafftime" and "items", in T1 I need to sum the
"Contrctaed_Hours" and the OverTime. when I do sum the contracted Time I am
getting 61200, as there ate 2 rows in T1.
How can I sum my four colums but only get results for one Date in the T1
table'
