jump back from drill through generates blank page

Hello,
I have a main report that calls a subreport. In report manager, when I
drill from the main report to the subreport, everything is fine. However,
when I hit the IE back button I get a blank page. If I hit back again the
main report displays. This problem just started happening within the last
2 weeks. In the past I only had to hit back once. This problem occurs in
every report.

I have discovered that security patch KB916281
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916281) has caused this problem. It was
originally installed on June 19th. After I removed this hot fix, the back
button functioned as desired. Uninstalling this patch is not a feasable
solution. Does anyone know of a solution? Microsoft?

FYI: Report Server is on windows server 2003 with SQL SERVER/RS 2000 with latest service packs. I access the reports from IE on a MS 2000 professional OS.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi All,

I am also having the same problem. Somebody pls reply with a solution to it. This is an urgent issue.

Thanks

Maybe a MS patch is the cause?

guys aren't hip to un-installing it. We called Microsoft with one of our
calls but they don't consider it a bug.
If anybody comes up with something, let me know.

a bug.
Thanks for the info.

Joining when rows don't exist.

Afternoon all..
I'm trying to join two tables together. The tables have information
like:
Table_Data
Name - Calls - Sales
Bob -- 17 -- 10
John -- 23 -- 5
Dave -- 25 -- 7
Carol -- 16 -- 13
Table_Target_Data
Name - Calls - Sales
Bob -- 30 -- 20
Carol -- 40 -- 30
What I need to do is to join them together, but also include those
people that aren't mentioned in the target table.
So far I have :
SELECT
T1.Name AS [Agent Name],
T1.Calls AS [Target Client Calls],
T2.Calls AS [Client Calls],
T1.Sales AS [Target Sales],
T2.Sales AS [Sales]
FROM
Table_Target_Data T1,Table_Data T2
where T1.Name = T2.Name
Group by T1.Name
This will only bring back those names that are in both tables. How can
I bring back 'John' and 'Dave', filling in relevant results with <null>
or '0'?Hi John,
SELECT
T1.Name AS [Agent Name],
T1.Calls AS [Target Client Calls],
T2.Calls AS [Client Calls],
T1.Sales AS [Target Sales],
T2.Sales AS [Sales]
FROM
Table_Target_Data T1
LEFT JOIN Table_Data T2
ON T1.Name = T2.Name
HTH, Jens Suessmeyer.|||You need to use left join and you're using inner join.

Use an outer join.
SELECT
T2.Name AS [Agent Name],
T1.Calls AS [Target Client Calls],
T2.Calls AS [Client Calls],
T1.Sales AS [Target Sales],
T2.Sales AS [Sales]
FROM
Table_Target_Data T1 RIGHT OUTER JOIN Table_Data T2
ON T1.Name = T2.Name
Group by T2.Name
If you want 0 in the target data rather than nulll, use
SELECT
T2.Name AS [Agent Name],
COALESCE(T1.Calls,0) AS [Target Client Calls],
T2.Calls AS [Client Calls],
COALESCE(T1.Sales,0) AS [Target Sales],
T2.Sales AS [Sales]
FROM
Table_Target_Data T1 RIGHT OUTER JOIN Table_Data T2
ON T1.Name = T2.Name
Group by T2.Name

Got the results I need now.

join results from multiple EXEC calls

I would like to make inner join with results from different exec %procedureName% calls.

thanks.

insert into #temp
exec Proc1

insert into #temp2
exec Proc2

insert into #temp3
exec Proc3

Then join or union the tables (depending on the data)
If the reultsets are the same you can insert into 1 table instead of multiple tables

You might also consider rewriting the procedures as functions if it is possible, then the join of the sets would be very natural.

select *
from function (parm) as set1
join function2(parm) as set2
on set1.value = set2.value
