Jumping drill-down report

I have a report with drill down grouped data and static header with
interactive sorting enabled.
1. When the user expands (by clicking + image) some groups and click on
table header for sorting, all the drill-down details which were expanded get
collapsed, can we configure the report to show the report in the same state
with expanded/collapsed data after sorted?
2. When the user click on the '+' symbol to exand the details with static
header and scrolled to the bottom, the report jumps and the selected row
gets hidden behind the header. How can we fix this?
Thanks and Regards,
SridharI also suffer with that problem and wrote the same thing to many other
places as well as this group but had no response. I have also
installed Sql Server SP2 and VS SP1.

Jump to Report Action for Textbox fails when Textbox is in Report Header

When I put a textbox in the report header with a Jump to Report Action,
it works fine in the Preview in VS, but when it is actually uploaded,
clicking on it results in:
The path of the item "(null)" is not valid. The path must be less than
260 characters long and must start with slash. Other restrictions
apply. (rsInvalidItemPath)
Works fine when the textbox is in the report body. Anyone else having
this problem?
-WilliamAny solution to this one? Or better yet, is it noted somewhere as a bug in
the product?
thanks!

JOINs and SUMs Not Giving Expected Results

I have just added a third table to a query and I am no longer getting
the results I am expecting.

Three Tables:
CUSTINVOICEJOUR (Header Table)
CUSTINVOICETRANS (Line Item Table)
MARKUPTRANS (Additional Header Info)

CUSTINVOICEJOUR has a one to many relationship to CUSTINVOICETRANS.

CUSTINVOICEJOUR has a one to many relationship to MARKUPTRANS.

I need to sum an integer column from MARKUPTRANS, in rows that are
related to CUSTINVOICEJOUR, and include that output with my query
below, which right now has a row for each CUSTINVOICETRANS record:

SELECT CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEAMOUNT, CUSTINVOICETRANS.QTY
FROM CUSTINVOICEJOUR INNER JOIN
CUSTINVOICETRANS ON CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEID =
CUSTINVOICETRANS.INVOICEID
WHERE (CUSTINVOICEJOUR.DATAAREAID = 'acm') AND
(CUSTINVOICETRANS.DATAAREAID = 'acm')

The above works fine - a row for each record in CUSTINVOICETRANS with
the header info in there as well.

I tried the query below to add a SUM() from MARKUPTRANS, but when I run
it, I get one row with strange results in it - not what I expected.
What am I doing wrong?

SELECT CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEAMOUNT, CUSTINVOICETRANS.QTY,
SUM(MARKUPTRANS.VALUE) AS FreightValue
FROM CUSTINVOICEJOUR INNER JOIN
CUSTINVOICETRANS ON CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEID =
CUSTINVOICETRANS.INVOICEID INNER JOIN
MARKUPTRANS ON CUSTINVOICEJOUR.RECID =
MARKUPTRANS.TRANSRECID
WHERE (CUSTINVOICEJOUR.DATAAREAID = 'acm') AND
(CUSTINVOICETRANS.DATAAREAID = 'acm') AND (MARKUPTRANS.DATAAREAID =
'acm')
GROUP BY CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEAMOUNT, CUSTINVOICETRANS.QTY,
MARKUPTRANS.MARKUPCODE
HAVING (MARKUPTRANS.MARKUPCODE = 'Freight')"Hunter Hillegas" <hunter.hillegas@.gmail.com> wrote in message news:ci581o$h9v@.odak26.prod.google.com...

<snip
If you're aggregating a column from MARKUPTRANS, then you shouldn't include another column from that same table in the
GROUP BY clause. I would rewrite that as a correlated subquery in the SELECT list.

SELECT
CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEAMOUNT,
CUSTINVOICETRANS.QTY,
(Select SUM(MARKUPTRANS.VALUE)
FROM MARKUPTRANS
WHERE CUSTINVOICEJOUR.RECID = MARKUPTRANS.TRANSRECID
and MARKUPTRANS.DATAAREAID = 'acm'
and MARKUPTRANS.MARKUPCODE = 'Freight' ) AS FreightValue

FROM
CUSTINVOICEJOUR
INNER JOIN
CUSTINVOICETRANS
ON CUSTINVOICEJOUR.INVOICEID = CUSTINVOICETRANS.INVOICEID
WHERE
(CUSTINVOICEJOUR.DATAAREAID = 'acm') AND
(CUSTINVOICETRANS.DATAAREAID = 'acm') ;

JOIN Query Problem

Hi, I'm not that experienced with this so I need some help :)
I've got 2 tables a Header and a Line table
Now I want to select all headers but I want to filter out those that
have lines with the Status Finished
So I came up with this query:
SELECT *
FROM Header
LEFT JOIN Line ON (Header.ID=Line.HeaderID AND
Line.Status<>'FINISHED')
WHERE Header.ID<>'';
The problem here is that I get all headers even the ones with the have
lines with the status Finished. Only those lines don't show, but the
orders do.
Can't I do this in 1 single query?
Thanks in advanceHi
SELECT *
FROM Header
JOIN Line ON (Header.ID=Line.HeaderID ) WHERE Line.Status<>'FINISHED' AND
Header.ID<>''

SELECT *
FROM Header
LEFT JOIN Line ON (Header.ID=3DLine.HeaderID
WHERE Header.ID<>'' AND Line.Status<>'FINISHED'=20
HTH, jens Suessmeyer.|||Without that parentethes which priduces an error:
SELECT *
FROM Header
LEFT JOIN Line ON Header.ID=Line.HeaderID
WHERE Header.ID<>'' AND Line.Status<>'FINISHED'|||Jens
Yep, that's exactly what I've posted , in that case he does not need to
have LEFT JOIN . It produces the same result

corresponding line.
When i do not use the filter AND Line.Status<>'FINISHED' I see all
Headers, even the ones that have no lines. But when I now filter on the
status. All the ones With status = finished dissappear but also the
empty ones.
And i really need to see the empty ones also :(|||Or is there a way to select only the headers that have no Lines? That
way I can put all the ID's in a collection and do a select at the end
of al those ID's.
So it would be a select of all the ones that have not been finished and
afterwards one woth all the empty ones.|||kenny.vaes@.gmail.com wrote on 29 Nov 2005 04:59:49 -0800:

SELECT *
FROM Header
LEFT JOIN Line ON Header.ID=Line.HeaderID
WHERE Header.ID<>'' AND (Line.Status<>'FINISHED' or Line.Status IS NULL)
